Who we are

"Smart Health Benefits," "we," "us," and "our" refers to the operator of smarthealthbenefits.com and its partner portal, a comparison and referral site for group health plans provided by Benefit Airship. The plans themselves are provided and administered by Benefit Airship and its partners. Our business workspace coordinates company setup, invitations and preliminary employee selections on Smart Health. Required provider enrollment, signatures and payment authorizations may be completed through secure provider pages.

Workspace update. This policy now describes saved business and partner accounts, employee invitations, preliminary enrollment requests, and essential sign-in cookies.

Information we collect

Information you give us on this site. The rate calculator asks for your age band, sex, who will be covered, and your state. The provider-search tool asks for a doctor name, hospital, or ZIP code. None of these inputs require an account and none are stored on our servers. Clicking "Search networks" may copy your query to your clipboard so you can paste it into a carrier directory.

Saved workspaces. We store your verified email, company setup and contribution settings, employee names and emails, partner application details, invitation and delivery status, and records of approvals. Employees may submit their name, phone, ZIP code, household category and preliminary plan selection. Employer and partner views show administrative enrollment progress; private employee selection and contact details are restricted to the employee and authorized Smart Health operations staff. Employee workspaces do not collect Social Security numbers, health-question responses or bank/card details. Partner applications collect professional contact details, NPN, licensed states, licenses, E&O certificates, signed W-9 forms and relevant supporting documents. A W-9 may contain a taxpayer identification number such as an SSN or EIN; it is stored as a private document and is not exposed in general client dashboards. Only the submitting partner and authorized Smart Health staff can download partner documents. We retain document versions and review records to support credential checks and renewals.

Information collected automatically. We use Vercel Web Analytics to record page views, referrer URLs, country-level location, device type, and approximate screen size. Page analytics are disabled on company setup, workspace, partner, operations, invitation, sign-in and preview pages. Vercel Analytics is a first-party, cookie-less analytics service. It does not use tracking cookies and does not build cross-site user profiles. Additional technical information (IP address, user agent) is processed transiently by our hosting provider (Vercel) for the purpose of delivering the site.

Information you give us, and where it goes. If you complete the application questions, we record your plan selection and the answers behind it so we have a record of the referral. If you fill in the employer form, we store the business details you enter, including the tax ID if you provide one, and forward them to Benefit Airship so they can onboard your group. When you continue to enrollment, we build a cart on Benefit Airship's storefront and send you there; from that point you are on their site, entering your personal and payment details directly with them under their privacy policy. We never see or store card details. When you click "Book a coverage check" you are taken to Calendly, and provider directory links take you to Cigna or PHCS. We do not control what those services collect.

How we use information

We use account and workspace information to save progress, verify access, deliver requested invitations, prepare enrollment requests and coordinate required setup steps. We use analytics data to understand which pages are read, which states visitors are shopping from, and whether the rate tool and provider search are working. We do not sell analytics data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to retarget you with ads.

Who we share information with

Vercel Inc. hosts the site and processes the analytics described above, subject to its own privacy commitments. Supabase stores the application, account, private partner documents and workspace records described above and supports authentication. When configured, Resend processes invitation email addresses and the invitation messages it delivers. Emails contain the invitation link and basic company context, not private plan-selection or health details. Benefit Airship receives the employer details you submit and, when you continue to enrollment, everything you enter at their checkout. When you visit Calendly or a provider directory, you are sharing information with that company on its own terms. We do not disclose your information to any other party except when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of anyone.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not set any first-party tracking or advertising cookies. Essential sign-in cookies maintain your authenticated session. Your browser stores an unfinished company estimate so you can resume it before sign-in; employee rosters and private enrollment requests are not stored in that browser draft. The interactive preview stores only the sample data you enter in that browser. Other tools may store standard functional items, such as calculator state. Vercel's hosting may set essential cookies for security or load balancing. Embedded and linked third-party services may set their own cookies according to their policies.

Data retention

Account, workspace and enrollment-request records are retained to support your setup and service requests and any applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact Smart Health to request access, correction or deletion. Records held by a plan administrator are managed under that administrator’s policy. Browser estimate and preview data can be removed by clearing this site’s local storage. Aggregated analytics data follows the analytics provider’s retention settings.

Your rights

Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to (1) know what categories of personal information we process about you, (2) request deletion of information we hold about you, (3) correct inaccurate information, and (4) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.

Residents of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland with GDPR rights can make the same kinds of requests through the same contact.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has interacted with this site, contact us and we will delete anything that we can identify.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Account access requires a verified email. Server-side authorization limits workspace access to its employer, approved assigned partner and authorized operations staff; employee requests are held separately. Required signatures and payment authorizations use secure provider pages. The carriers and plan administrator have their own security practices.

International users

The site is hosted in the United States on Vercel's infrastructure. If you visit from outside the US, your interaction with the site is transmitted to and processed in the US.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in a brief summary at the top of this page for 30 days after the change takes effect.
